Kern Laser Systems (KLS) is proud to announce, their complete line of CO2 laser systems are now equipped with lasers manufactured by Kern Technologies. This includes LightWAVE laser sources of 100, 150, 200, 250 and 400 watts.

Kern’s CO2 laser development started in the mid 2000’s as a R&D project headed by Gerald Kern at the KLS facility. In 2012, the first production lasers were introduced to the market and placed on Kern’s large format laser systems. These laser sources included the 100, 150 and 200 watt models. Shortly after this milestone, Kern Technologies (KT) was formed and a new manufacturing facility was built directly across the road from the KLS headquarters. In 2018, the high-powered 250 and 400 watt lasers were added to Kern’s lineup.

Today, Kern Technologies works out of a 20,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with a state-of-the-art clean room production environment. KT’s main objective is to advance CO2 laser technology by manufacturing the highest quality and most dependable CO2 lasers on the market.

“Having our own line of CO2 lasers has allowed us to provide customers with the best possible support structure in the industry. Replacement lasers are stocked at KLS and can be shipped out by overnight delivery. Another benefit of having our own lasers is the fact that design improvements can be implemented very quickly.”

~Derek Kern, CEO/President, Kern Laser Systems

Kern’s customers are backed with a two year warranty on laser systems equipped with KT lasers. Furthermore, Kern’s laser replacement pricing has been reduced by as much as 50% when compared to lasers provided by previous suppliers.
