Founded in 1988 in Sydney, Plazmaman is one of Australia’s leading manufacturer of high end cooling and performance solutions for the street, racing, diesel and industrial markets.

Alex explains how Plazmaman first got started: “We spent 10 to 15 years racing in all forms of motorsport and then decided to supply the parts we developed in racing.” Today Plazmaman are highly regarded as an industry leader in quality and performance. “Our key point of difference is the premium quality and function of our product,” explains Alex.

“It was about 14 years ago that a Haas sales representative walked into the Plazmaman shop floor and said ‘I will sell you a machine soon, trust me’ “, Alex remembers. He says the company selected HFO Australia due to our ability to fix and service any machine in a fast period of time. “We were looking for a supplier with great communication and ability to solve problems quickly….we know this reduces any possible down-time”

Whereas before they relied on elbow grease and a Colchester manual lathe and a manual Bridgeport NC mill, today Plazmaman have an impressive line-up of Haas machinery. “Currently we have two VF-2SS’s, two VF-5SS’s, two HRT310 CNC Rotary Tables and one SL-10 CNC Lathe with Bar Feeder.”

“We chose these machines specifically as they perfectly suited the products that we manufacture.” Plazmaman use their Haas equipment to machine 100% aluminium. The machines aid in manufacturing tooling and dies for specific jobs, intake manifolds, intercooler components and virtually anything that they can machine to complement their range of products.

Plazmaman has a complete in-house manufacturing, fabrication and finishing facility. It contains a range of CNC Machinery, a full time welding department an in-house R&D department. They also have a product polishing, tube bending and powder coating section!
